Global law firm Freshfields has advised AXA IM Alts, a global leader in alternative investments, on the acquisition of a majority stake in ILOS Projects GmbH (‘ILOS’) from Omnes Capital and founder-led ILOS New Energy. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
ILOS is a renewable energy company focused on the development of photovoltaic projects, actively building a pipeline of solar projects in Europe's core markets. With this acquisition of a company committed to renewable energy solutions, AXA IM Alts strengthens its portfolio of sustainable and high-quality infrastructure businesses with a focus on decarbonisation.
The Freshfields team is being led by Partner Natascha Doll and Senior Associates Carsten Bork and Lukas Pirnay, with support from Associate Steffen Blume (all Hamburg) and Senior Associate Maximilian Kind (Hamburg, all M&A).
