Non-accessible content
Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the Freshfields LLP website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for the Freshfields LLP website:
- Audio Description: Some videos on this website do not have audio description. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description (Pre-recorded)). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
- Navigation buttons: We are aware that some buttons are not visible when resized to 175% or viewed in mobile view. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.4 (Resize Text). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
- Navigation links: We are aware that some links are not visible when resized to 400% or viewed in mobile view. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.4.10 (Reflow) and 1.4.4 (Resize Text). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
- Headings: Some text headings are not defined as such; this makes it difficult for screen reader users to navigate using shortcut keys. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationship). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
- User Interface Components: We are aware that some buttons and components do not have text that is visible to screen readers thus the purpose of these controls cannot be determined by the user. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
- Video control – The controls for the video on the home page cannot be accessed with a keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 2.1.1 (Keyboard) and 2.3.4 (Focus Order). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
- Search box - The search box at the top of the page does not have a label or instructions. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 3.3.2 (Labels or Instructions). We plan to fix this by June 2025.
