Stuart is a partner in the Freshfields Energy and Real Assets Group and is based in the London office.
Stuart has more than 30 years of experience. His practice focuses on a wide range of financings to facilitate the acquisition of energy and infrastructure assets together with multi-sourced debt platforms and portfolio financings as well as project and development finance.
Stuart’s experience includes advising:

VINCI Airports on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Edinburgh Airport from Global Infrastructure Partners for c£1.53bn;

PSP Investments and AviAlliance on the financing for the acquisition of AGS Airports, the owner of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton Airports from Ferrovial and Macquarie for an enterprise value of c£1.27bn;

Boldyn Networks (a CPPIB portfolio company) on the financing of its European business including the TfL concession to roll out mobile phones on the London Underground.

on the refinancing of EIP’s minority interest in Boralex;

on the financing for the acquisition by Actis of Telecom Serbia;

VTG’s debt facilities refinancing by means of a multi-sourced common debt platform to support the long-term financing of its business;
