Rob represents clients in complex, high-stakes commercial litigation and cross-border disputes.
Rob has litigated and arbitrated scores of significant cases in a variety of industries and sectors including aerospace, banking and financial services, beverages and bottling, construction and engineering, entertainment and sports, insurance, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, private equity, and software licensing. Rob represents clients in all stages of the disputes life cycle, from pre-litigation strategy through trial, appeals, and enforcement.

Rob’s representative matters include:
- Representing defendant Google in The State of Texas, et al. v. Google, LLC (E.D. Tex.), United States v. Google, LLC (E.D. Va.), and in the multi-district litigation In re Google Digital Advertising Antitrust Litigation (S.D.N.Y.), in its defense of claims brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, multiple State Attorneys General (led by Texas), as well as various class action plaintiffs, alleging violations of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act in connection with Google’s ad tech business.
- Represented petitioner mining company in proceedings to enforce $1 billion ICSID (Additional Facility) Award under the New York Convention. Rusoro Mining Ltd. v. Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, 2018 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 34706, *1 (D.D.C. Mar. 1, 2018) (denying motion for stay and confirming Award).
- Represented plaintiff Octagon Credit Investors in claim arising out of improper modification of syndicated loan agreement. Octagon Credit Investors, LLC v. NYDJ Apparel, LLC, No. 656677/2017 (Sup. Ct. N.Y. Cnty. Jan. 9, 2018), Dkt. 91 (denying motion to dismiss).
- Represented defendant PepsiCo in dispute with distributor alleging antitrust violations, breach of contract, and tortious interference. Mahaska Bottling Co. v. PepsiCo Inc., 271 F.Supp. 3d 1054 (S.D. Iowa, 2017) (dismissing all antitrust claims).
- Represented plaintiff property management company in $400 million multi-forum tort claim concerning gas storage facility (S.D. Tex.; German Institute of Arbitration).
- Represented plaintiff communications company in $250 million multi-forum dispute concerning destruction of satellite (Sup. Ct. N.Y. Cnty.; ICC Rules of Arbitration).
- Represented defendant sovereign state in cross-border aircraft leasing dispute (S.D.N.Y.)
- Represented defendant private equity firm in multi-forum proceedings brought by former employee alleging defamation and improper termination (C.D. Cal.; High Court, England & Wales; Cayman Islands Grand Court).
- Represented beverage company in multi-forum proceedings arising from disposal of beer brands in Ecuador (Sup. Ct. N.Y. Cnty.; ICC Rules of Arbitration).
- Represented petitioner steel manufacturers in proceedings to enforce $400 million in ICSID Awards (D.D.C. 2018–2019).
- Represented defendant Citibank in $350 million claim alleging breach of contract in connection with valuation of structured securities. Highland CDO Opportunity Master Fund, L.P. v. Citibank, N.A., No. 12 Civ. 2827 (NRB), 2016 WL 1267781 (S.D.N.Y. Mar. 30, 2016) (granting summary judgment dismissing claims).
- Represented respondent J.P. Morgan in $30 million commercial arbitration involving claims of fraud in connection with collapse of hedge funds. J.P. Morgan Securities LLC v. Sharon, No. 14-cv-03743 (S.D.N.Y. Oct. 10, 2014) (confirming arbitration award dismissing claims).
- Represented respondent Deutsche Bank in $35 million commercial arbitration involving claims of fraudulent inducement and breach of contract concerning the sale of call warrants. SMCB Capital, LLC v. Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., FINRA-DR Case No. 11-02201 (New Jersey, Dec. 11, 2013) (dismissing all claims).
- Represented respondent Bear Stearns in commercial arbitration involving claim for breach of contract for failure to execute redemption instructions. Matter of Bear, Stearns & Co. v. International Capital & Management Co., 32 Misc. 3d 607 (Sup. Ct. N.Y. Cnty. 2011) (confirming arbitration award dismissing claims), aff’d, 99 A.D.3d 402 (1st Dep’t 2012).
- Representing a global financial institution in cross-border investigations by multiple regulators concerning alleged collusion in foreign exchange markets.
