Freshfields adds Capital Markets Partner in New York

Freshfields announced today that Jacqueline (Jackie) Marino has joined the Capital Markets practice as a partner based in New York.

Jackie’s practice focuses on representing issuers and underwriters on a variety of capital markets transactions, including IPOs and other equity offerings, investment-grade, high-yield and convertible debt financings, private placements and liability management transactions. She also advises on SEC compliance, disclosure, corporate governance and other general corporate matters. Her experience spans a wide range of sectors including consumer products and retail, energy, technology, financial services and industrials.

“Jackie is an exceptional capital markets lawyer with an extremely impressive deal sheet that includes some of the largest and highest profile IPOs in recent memory. The breadth of her experience across equity and debt transactions will be of great value to our clients, whether they are looking to go public or have been public for decades,” said U.S. Managing Partner and U.S. Head of Capital Markets, Sarah Solum. “This experience, combined with her upbeat energy and dedication, has made her a client favorite.”

New York-based capital markets partner Pamela Marcogliese added: “Jackie is an amazing addition to our Capital Markets team. Not only does she have an outstanding track record in service to her clients, but she also embodies the strong leadership skills that have led to her recognition as a rising star. We are well-positioned to serve both U.S. and foreign companies, who are increasingly looking to tap the capital markets in the months and years to come.”

Jackie noted: “The focus on clients and shared values across the Freshfields team is very evident and attractive. I’m looking forward to building my practice on the firm’s market-leading global platform as I take this next step in my career.”

Jackie is the latest corporate partner to join Freshfields following M&A partners Denny Kwon in Silicon Valley last month and Sanjay Murti and Steven Li in New York, as well as private equity M&A partners Neal Reenan and Ian Bushner in New York earlier this year. M&A partner Joshua Ayal also joined Freshfields today in New York.
