Freshfields advises DAZN on the acquisition of Eleven Sports
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (“Freshfields”) has advised long-standing client DAZN Group (“DAZN”), a leading global sports platform, on its purchase of Eleven Sports Network Limited (“ELEVEN”), a global sports media business, from Aser Ventures. Once completed, the transaction will expand DAZN’s offering to new territories (including Portugal and Belgium), provide DAZN with a new revenue stream via the acquisition of ELEVEN-owned social media business Team Whistle, and expand DAZN’s football rights.
The transaction is subject to anti-trust review, and as such the completion date is to be confirmed.
