Freshfields advises CVC Capital Partners VII on its investment in Acronis
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) is advising CVC Capital Partners VII (‘CVC’) on its investment in Acronis, a leading global cyber protection, backup and disaster recovery provider.
CVC and other investors have invested more than $250m in Acronis in a funding round that values Acronis at more than $2.5bn.
The Freshfields team is led by London private equity partner Vincent Bergin and associates Jay Swain, Anna Cross and George Clarke, with London partners Alex Mitchell, Charlie Hayes, David Brooks and Jill Gatehouse and New York partners Kyle Lakin, Michael Levitt and Valerie Jacob also advising. CVC was also advised by Bär & Karrer partners Raphael Annasohn and Thomas Rohde.
