About Dr. Benjamin Pant

Benjamin Pant is a People and Reward Associate in our Dusseldorf office.

He regularly advises on employment related restructuring and reorganisations, including the implementation of voluntary leaver programmes and negotiations with the works council and trade unions. Benjamin frequently advises clients on complex works council matters, as well as on the implementation of modern working structures and digital transformation (agile working methods, matrix structures, flexible working conditions, artificial intelligence, introduction of IT-Tools etc.). He has particular expertise on issues relating to the use of external staff and represents his clients before the labour courts in complex cases.

Benjamin regularly appears as an author of employment law publications and as a lecturer on employment law topics. He is co-author of the handbook “Arbeitnehmerüberlassung, Solo-Selbstständige und Werkverträge” (eng. “Employee Leasing, Freelancers and Contracts to Produce a Work”) and  the BeckOGK commentary on the law on dismissals and terminations. He is also author of numerous other employment law articles. Benjamin is a lecturer on the employment law master’s program at the University of Munster (JurGrad).

Benjamin speaks German and English.

  • University of Cologne, Germany (Dr iur)
  • Research assistant at the Institute for Labor and Economic Law at the University of Cologne (Professor Dr Martin Henssler)
  • Legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne with stations at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and the Chamber of the Vice President of the Higher Labor Court of Cologne
