About Caroline Leopold
Caroline is an associate in the corporate team of our firm's Amsterdam office, and is part of our global transactions (GT) practice group.
She specialises in corporate transactions, with a particular focus on cross-border private M&A transactions. Moreover, she advises (listed) companies on a range of corporate matters, including ESG (reporting) matters.
Caroline speaks Dutch, English and German.
Recent work
- RWE AG on its joint venture with TotalEnergies to jointly deliver the OranjeWind offshore wind project in the Netherlands which will have an installed capacity of 795 megawatts, with TotalEnergies acquiring a 50% equity stake in the offshore wind farm from RWE. The OranjeWind project will be the first system integration project in the Dutch market, aiming to match intermittent wind power generation with flexible energy demand and thus contributing to grid stability.
- Macquarie Asset Management on its initial investment of up to €175 million in SkyNRG, a leading sustainable aviation fuels platform, to support SkyNRG’s next phase of growth and help achieve its ambitious goal to become a major SAF producer through the development and operation of SAF production facilities.
- CVC Capital Partners on its acquisition of leading infrastructure fund manager DIF Capital Partners.
- Macromill, Inc on the sale and share swap deal of Metrixlab, a Dutch provider of marketing insights and analytics.
- Macquarie Asset Management on its investment in and strategic partnership with EDGE.
- Funecap Groupe on its acquisition of Facultatieve Group, comprising a portfolio of crematoria in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland as well as Facultatieve Technologies, the global market leader in the fields of design, construction and maintenance of cremators, filtration and incineration equipment.
- Ahold Delhaize on the acquisition by bol.com of a majority stake in Cycloon, a Dutch postal delivery expert.
- Springer Nature on the sale of Rendement Uitgeverij B.V. to Doorrenderen B.V.
- E.On (including its Dutch subsidiary Essent) on the disposal of its Dutch mid-market power and gas B2B business to Eneco.
Qualifications
Caroline studied Dutch law at the University of Groningen. She graduated from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in Corporate Law.
