About Dr. Jonas Köster
Jonas advises on regulatory matters with a focus on autonomous driving, electric vehicles, sustainability across all sectors, and digitalisation. He is a Germany-based experienced EU lawyer.
Clients rely on his expertise in the areas of ESG and CO2 regulation. He regularly advises on climate protection laws in the EU and Germany, CO2 limits in the automotive sector, supply chain due diligence and other sustainability topics such as the EU's Deforestation Regulation and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
He has particular knowledge of new and disruptive technologies changing and challenging the passenger car and general transport sector: autonomous - electric - connected. He has been advising on the regulation of these areas at international, EU and national level for many years.
Jonas has experience with internal investigations for international corporations. Clients also rely on his expertise in the mobility and energy sector in the context of regulatory laws affecting M&A transactions.
Jonas is a member of Freshfields HALO, the firm's LGBTQ+ network. He is also a member of the German LSVD+ Queer Diversity Association and Völklinger Kreis Federal Association of Gay Executives.
