About Laura Hutchinson
Laura is a corporate finance associate in our global transactions group, with experience advising on the corporate treasuries of global clients across a broad range of sectors, and lenders, on complex and cross-border transactions, including capital markets, loans, real estate financings, structured financings and other products and solutions.
During her time at Freshfields, Laura has spent time on secondments to our Hong Kong office, as well as the legal teams at Citigroup and Funding Circle.
Recent work
Laura’s experience includes advising:
- Ares Management Real Estate and Sunrise Real Estate in relation to its acquisition and development financing of three portfolios of logistics assets across the UK, Spain, the Netherlands and Germany;
- Qatar Investment Authority as shareholder of the borrower on its refinancing of the HSBC tower in London;
- AstraZeneca on its bilateral working capital facilities; USPP Programme; and EMTN programme, including on over $4 billion in issuances;
- BT plc on its syndicated capital facilities and a bridge facility;
- Rank Group plc on its refinancing of four bilateral facilities into one syndicated facility;
- SSE plc on the refinancing of its revolving credit facilities;
- The Bank of England through ongoing advice and legal risks review in relation to it’s Sterling Monetary Framework;
- Issuers and dealers on updates of and drawdowns from EMTN programmes established by various issuers and liability management transactions in relation thereto, including those by AstraZeneca, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Lithuania, OPEC Fund for International Development, SSE, Standard Bank of South Africa and IHG.
